An empty mind and a blank page...

My very small brain has gone on strike.
There are so many things on my mind that all the words I wrote made no sense at all.
I need clarity, but it's in short supply.
Instead of redoubling the effort,
my mind begins to wander,
and I forget about the point I was trying to make as I wonder...
can it be done??

Can you ride a bike in seven inch heels?

I call them safety shoes.
People say it's mad to ride in heels, but really it's quite logical.
When you ride a horse you always have a heel, to catch you if your foot slips forward.
On a bike, heels act like a toe clip.
Cause you can pull up with it on the upstroke.

You see?
Safety shoes.
Now all we need are a few safety shoe laws to go with all those helmet laws.

Seven inches, though.
On a horse you never need to worry whether the stirrups leave enough clearance between your heels and the ground, but on a pedal?  And platforms complicate things, too... but I love them.
I like the air way up there.
And you know how I love to ride.

What to do... what to do...
I know!  I'll meditate on it.

Whenever I come back to meditation,
(which happens frequently  as I am forever forgetting to do it)
I like a bit of guidance.
A teeny weeny little brain isn't quite the same as an empty mind,
but it should be easy to clear the decks.

Anyhoo, when I'm in need of a refresher, this little ditty works wonders:

Maybe a bit of clarity will help me sort out the mess of words I wrote last night.
And then again, maybe not, but it can't hurt, right?

  1. They look just like the compression socks the Brazilian Women's Team wore at the World Cup last year. Unfortunately the rest of their kit didn't consist of a Brazilian Bikini too.

  2. The perfect complement to those strong python-esque legs.
